We’re proud to introduce EFD Post-16 Academy. A new football and education programme for both boys and girls, in partnership with Burton and South Derbyshire College (BSDC), rated 'Outstanding' by OFSTED. Opening September 2026 at Moorways Sports Village, the Academy brings together UEFA A & B Licensed coaching, first class education from BSDC, and world-class facilities. Come along to one of our information and football coaching open evenings.

Founded by current professional footballer, Ben Osborn and Jack Andrews, both of whom began their careers as scholars at the renowned Nottingham Forest Academy, the EFD Post-16 Academy is built on first-hand experience of what it takes to succeed in both football and education.

the education & football
Education
✔ Study a BTEC Sport Level 3 Qualification while training and playing under the guidance of our UEFA Licensed Coaches.
✔ Delivered by highly qualified and experienced Sport Lecturers, this programme is equivalent to 3 A-Levels.
✔ Covers a range of sport-related subjects designed to inspire you to pursue a career in the Sport and Physical Activity sector.
✔ Our academy standards and vocational assessment methods also help you develop employability skills that are valued in any industry.
✔GCSE English and Maths resits (if needed), taught by our onsite Tutor, ensuring you continue your education without compromise.
Football
✔ 6 hours of football each week helping you to develop physically, tactically, and technically by our UEFA A & B licensed coaches.
✔ Competing in League and Cup competitions against semi-pro and pro academies.
✔ Training on our newly installed 4G home pitch
✔ Weekly performance analysis to elevate your game and reach your footballing potential.
✔ We’ll guide and inspire you to give your all; training, eating, drinking, and sleeping correctly to leave ‘nothing on the pitch.’
